Unusual MRC vintage Marine slave clock/watch reclaimed from a decommissioned cargo ship, dating circa the late 1980s. We have stripped the original paint and polished the resulting steel. Marine slave clocks were originally electrically connected to the main mother unit onboard the ship, to keep accurate time, unaffected by violent movements of the sea. The onboard electrics are incompatible with domestic systems, so we have removed them and replaced them with an accurate electronic movement taking one AA battery (supplied with purchase). The clock face features classic typography and would fit well amid any vintage interior design. In keeping with the original usage on board ship, some wear and tear may be visible.
